Mediation Fixed Fee Service
Ideally suited to small claims the Fixed Fee Mediation provides the services of Mediator for a fixed fee within a fixed time period that covers pre-mediation preparation and mediation time on the day itself up to a maximum of six hours.

How the Fixed Fee-Fixed Time service works
The Process in Face-to-Face Mediation
The Mediator delivers a service at a Fixed Fee to include pre-mediation preparation and mediation time on the day itself up to a maximum of 6 hours.
What is covered?
All reasonable preparation and up to the 6 hours of mediation time, including the set up the mediation no less than 30 minutes before the mediation begins. Mediators’ travel expenses to attend the mediation are included provided the mediation takes place within a 30km radius of the Mediators office.
What is not covered?
Costs of a venue (minimum of three rooms required).
Refreshments and other disbursements.
Excessive preparation time, more than 2 hours per party. If time is spent on reading documentation, reports or email, sending email and making telephone calls, obtaining collateral information or engage in substantial pre-mediation contact, the hourly rate will apply.
Travel by motor vehicle in excess of the 30km levied at R4,66 per km
The Process in Online Mediation utilising the Zoom platform
The Mediator delivers a service at a Fixed Fee to include pre-mediation preparation and mediation time on the day itself up to a maximum of 6 hours.
What is covered?
All reasonable preparation and up to the 6 hours of mediation time, including the mediation invitations and the setup of the mediation virtual rooms no less than 30 minutes before the mediation begins.
What is not covered?
Excessive preparation time, more than 2 hours per party. If the parties require the mediator to consider voluminous material and time is spent on reading documentation, reports or email, sending email and making telephone calls, obtaining collateral information or engage in substantial pre-mediation contact, the hourly rate will apply.
